faced by those who serve, because I am a Veteran myself. My work is grounded in
compassion, clinical expertise, and a deep respect for the resilience it takes
to heal.I am EMDR trained, a Certified Trauma Professional, and a Certified Drug and Alcohol
Counselor, with extensive experience supporting individuals navigating trauma,
PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use, and life transitions. Prior to my VA
work, I provided therapy in residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation
settings and in private practice, helping clients rebuild stability, reclaim
agency, and move forward with intention.My approach is direct yet supportive, structured yet deeply human. I focus on
creating a safe, steady space where clients feel understood, not judged, and
where therapy moves at a pace that honors their nervous system and lived
experience. Whether you are carrying the weight of trauma, struggling with
substance use, or simply feeling stuck, you do not have to do this alone.

Shelia Ransom Jenkins
With a strong academic background, Shelia earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Social Work from Mississippi Valley State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Social Welfare from Delta State University. She also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Social Work from Coahoma Community College.

As a Perinatal Mental Health Professional, she specializes in supporting individuals experiencing postpartum depression and related maternal mental health concerns.
In addition to clinical practice, Shelia has experience working in correctional and educational settings, serving as a School Attendance Officer and Clinical Director. She is currently pursuing provider status through the Mississippi Department of Mental Health to establish her private practice, where she will continue to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.
Beyond her work in mental health, Shelia is also an entrepreneur in the permanent jewelry industry, blending creativity with her dedication to helping others.
